Hi I know this has been asked loads of times, but I'm trying to upgrade my sync 2 for maps, for some reason mine won't take the updates from my USB, all it says is no file found, but when I check on my laptop it is definitely on the stick, am I doing something wrong? Is there anyone near St Albans that could come and do it for me, I will pay

Thanks

Kev

Have you formatted the USB stick to the correct format?  SYNC3 needs exFAT, but previous SYNC needs it to be FAT32

Plus make sure nothing else is plugged in any of the USB ports

Finally try another stick, some systems have issues with certain USB drives (not sure if Ford cars do, but generally in other pieces of kit)

I presume that you are trying to update the system software, and know that the actual maps are on an SD card?  I think the cards are coded / signed by Ford (could be wrong on that) so you probably can't just update the maps on the SD card you have to make it work.
