Boot will not lock when central locking is locked

    Does the car have keyless unlocking? Is it actually locking but then unlocking again because you have tried to open it when you have the key in your pocket?

    All doors will lock and open with remote but, the boot  stays  open

    This might sound like a stupid question, .... but how do you know it's not locked ?

    You have a MK4 Focus and there is only a release button on the handel. Do you have keyless entry ? and if not and you are using the keyfob to lock the doors are you pressing the lock button twice ?

    Lock the car, put the keys in the house (away from the car) and try and open the boot, you'll find it's locked.

    If you have keyless (passive) entry and go to open the boot with the key on you it will open

    2012 focus 1.6 tdci. Lock the car with key fob but I can still open the boot with the boot handle and all other doors are locked. No matter what I do with the keys it will not lock. Help please.

    Your car is 11 years old now, potentially a faulty boot handle not activating with the locking, cheap to replace...
