Fiesta 1.5 tdci popping out of 4th and 5th.

Over the past few weeks my cars been popping out of 4th and 5th whilst driving. Its whilst accelerating. No bad noises or anything it'll just rev like it's not in gear catch and slip again. If I take my foot off the accelerator it'll go back in and pop out again a few times then sort it's self out..  I thought it was the maybe the clutch thats going but my dad thinks maybe a selector fork 🤷‍♂️ anyway he's got me thinking it's not the clutch but I've got it booked in for a replacement. Has anyone else had this issue or know what it could be at all? Thanks
