Genuine Ford towbar wiring loom?

Featured Replies

HI, I just fitted a tow bar using a genuine Ford wiring loom on an S Max ST Line. I thought it would be a case of simply unplug the rear light wiring loom, plug this towbar loom in series and then it would be all good. Having fitted it in place it would seem that an additional unit is required to plug this tow bar loom into. Has anyone got any experience of this, cost of unit, does it need coding? TIA

You need a Ford Towing Module.

You will also need to use FORScan software and a ELM327 modified lead to connect to the OBDII port so that you can progamme the car so that it knows it has the towing module fitted.
