Heater blowing cold

Featured Replies

Hello

I am having trouble with the heater on 64 plate Fiesta Titanium Ecoboost.

!2 months ago, it started to make the clicking noise on start up. This was just a minor irritation so I ignored it and eventually the clicking problem went away. Recently, the heater has been blowing cold. But switching it off and on again sometimes got it to work. I assumed the problem to be the blend door activator which I had changed at a local garage yesterday.

Today, it is again blowing cold.

Any ideas?

Have you used FORScan to check and see if there are any DTC's recorded for the heater ?

Many thanks for the reply Unofix.

I haven't accessed any fault codes as I don't have the equipment to do so, As the initial problem sounded mechanical and identical to this, I assumed the clicking to be the root cause. Will have to get someone to access any fault codes.

If you have a laptop then use the software FORScan (it's free) to check for DTC

Download FORScan from here:  https://forscan.org/download.html

ELM327 connecting lead (£17.95):  https://tunnelrat-electronics.fwscart.com/

You can get a version of FORScan for your phone that connects via WiFi if you don't have a laptop.
