Interior ultrasonic alarm deactivation

Featured Replies

Hi

Can anyone tell me how to (temporarily) deactivate the internal ultrasonic scan when the alarm on a 2013 Focus Titanium 1.6 Tdi is set?   Hy daughter sometimes carries her dog in the car, and on occasions it is necessary to leave the dog in the locked car unattended for a while.

I have 'Googled' the question and there are no obvious deactivation switches inside the car that enable 'opting out' of the internal scanning when the alarm is set. I vaguely think I remember a Mondeo we used to have had a procedure for doing this but cannot recall details.  As always, when I want the info, I  have been unable to find the answer quickly.

Normally when you turn the car off the option is presented to turn it off before it enables.

On newer models you do get that option in the menu, or you can even switch that 'question' off and stop it being asked but I don't think that is available on the Mk3 2013 model.

I'll check and get back to you ...

Mine is 2014 and it does maybe they changed it.

Hi @F0CUE I think you are correct unless the OP has a late registered 2012 model. The alarm options for the Mk3 2013 onwards, is as you say in the menu.
