Ford Focus 2009 59 plate F30 fuse keeps blowing

Hi all,

The F30 fuse on my 59 focus keeps blowing. It would suddenly blow out and bring the car to a sudden stop. 

The first time it happened I remember i was turning out slowly from a junction and the fuse blow out. I replace it and it would be fine for sometimes days or weeks or months. Then it will blow again. I'm not sure what the problem is or where I should start, but I reckon there might be a short somewhere? 

Any help will be much appreciated.

    F30 should be a 3 Amp fuse for the PCM.

    Have you used FORScan to check for any DTC's ?

    The auto gearbox is very sensitive to voltage problems. Check that the earth bond strap between the gearbox and body is in good condition and free from corrosion.

    Do you have the 4 Speed Auto, or the 6 Speed Powershift ?

    What engine do you have ?

    i didnt think there was a powershift gearbox in the mk 2.5 ?

    thought it came later than 2009

    You could well be right. However despite the fact that 'a1m2p3m4' has been back to the forum (only 5 hours ago) he must have decided that he can't be bothered with this thread anymore. So I would recommend that 'we likewise don't bother' !
