Hi have chance of buying 2014 mondeo powershift but have been put off by gear box has any one got experience of it

    I've got powershift in my 2013 Focus and I don't like it. It's got worse as it's got older.

    when did you last have the gearbox serviced ?

    Maybe i'm wrong but apparently the clutch pack is quite common on the powershift, i had Evans Halshaw replace mine after they sold me car with a judder etc and i found out the car had a clutch pack change by previous owner too and my car has only done 65k miles.

    Personally i can put up with the gearbox but at times it does hesitate and my MPG seems to be terrible in it, driving normally i get around 22 to 24mpg if im lucky but if i drive like a granny then around 26 to 30mpg around town, i believe its between 2012 and 2016 powershift gearboxes that are prone to issues.
