Headlights

Featured Replies

Morning all. Quick question please. My father has a 2006 1.6 petrol Fusion. The headlights outer surface are very, very 'cloudy' and are now very poor at dispersing much light. I have tried T Cut etc., but to no avail. Would the view be now just replace the headlights? If so, is it a DIY job? Thanks.

Hi, you could try to source some good 2nd hand replacements.

Were Courier not the same lights too? They look the same

easy to replace, but buy a polishing kit, only  a tenner.

kit has arbour to go in drill, sponge, velcro, paper pads and cutting paste as well as final finish coat.

tcut, toothpaste, baking soda and all the quick fixes do not work on heavily faded lamps, only light clouding.

did mine and came up like new.

Oh, so easy to remove lamps, just a couple of screws, easier to polish off the car so you dont have to mask up.

when fitting lamps back ensure the bottom guide pine goes in first at the bottom, and whilst its out put a little silicone gel on the head lamp adjuster gears as they have a habit of seizing dry

Just for everyones information, I bought a TurtleWax headlight polish kit. Highly recommend these, came up like new! Also, sourced for my Nephew a 1.25 2006 Fiesta, Apple Green, 80k, new cambelt, Core Plugs, (Bosch) battery, serviced, MOT'd, 2 keys etc., £850, sweet as a nut. Great little cars.
