Monks600
Hey everyone, I know it’s been a while since I last posted but I’ve been quite busy with work.. in-between that, I’ve managed to finally get round to messing around with my new focus MK4! List of retrofits so far: - retrofitted factory dipped led reflector headlights, these are really worth the money! Best choice I’ve made by far (fitted a 2200uf capacitor to stop the 10% brightness drop). Full matrix led retrofit is easily done now too! They’re coming up on eBay pretty cheap now! - retrofitted factory footwell lighting front and rear seats (really easy again) - reverse camera installed - battery charge capacity set to 95% - Auto locking whilst driving - power fold mirrors (plug and play and a couple of settings to change on forscan) - speed limit of the road now shows on the navigation (really handy if you’re not too sure on the speed of some roads) - dual traffic signs on IPC - auto rain sensing wipers enabled - automatic dimming mirror I’m sure there’s a few more things I’ve changed but I honestly cannot remember! Feel free to fire any questions my way and I’ll assist and help where I can.
MarkRS9
Would be interested on how you retrofitted the factory footwell lighting?

So, there’s 2 ways you can go about this; - buy a pre made harness and some after market footwell lighting modules (essentially the ones that would just push fit in the slot). You can then attach this harness to the harness for the cup holder lights and then feed both legs to the passenger footwell and drivers side. the light modules I’m referring to are these in the photo. - other option is to make your own harness and buy some Ford original footwell light modules off eBay. I opted for this method as I had an old dashboard harness from my mk3 ST and most of the connectors are actually the same. Once the harness has been created, pretty much plug and play again. i stumbled across the idea on polish Ford forum, if you have the materials it’s really easy to create the harness yourself. If not, you can get them ore made. Search ‘Flickon focus MK4’ on Google to see what I’m referring too. 2

I've done these that way on mine (in my case disabled the autofold and the rain sensors, and a couple of other things as well). Woth exploring for those of you without Forscan or the nerve to use it 😉

I have the wipers set to manual use as they just don't seem to work properly in the rain, either way way to quick or not at all in fine misty rain conditions. Also turn off the auto fold puddle lights if I know it's going to be a heavy frost or prior to washing the car.

JohnnyBooshay
Sounds like you’ve done a fair bit! Would be interested to know how you got the auto-lock on, the speed limit to show on the nav and also how you done the reverse camera. Thanks!
