kindest regards

Plenty of used Mk6 ST steering wheels on eBay.  Condition varies of course.

It's his car and he can do what he likes, but I will just say that adding ST badged parts to a non-ST car can get some unwanted attention from other 'car people'.  Alternative mods might be more worthwhile.

Zetec S Steering wheel is very similar to ST, but without the logo.

Unless he likes rubber, a leather gearstick gaiter, silver painted interior door pulls, painted in body colour exterior door handles and hatch handles, reversing sensors, glovebox light, interior light with map lights are all things I have done to my Fiesta, with most of those bits sourced from a scrappy.

Another way of sprucing up his steering wheel would be a hand stitched leather cover (£30 max) and a set of gel ford badges, i would recommend getting them from here Ford Badges - Gel Overlays / DMB Graphics Ltd

Small bits are the best way to go, ModsnFlocks - Home | Facebook has a large amount of small bits you can buy and customise. Hydro dipping the door handles and engine bay parts are always a nice little touch.

Hope this helps 🙂

On the steering wheel route, I’ve always had a steering wheel cover on my cars to make them slightly grippy.  Just find it quicker to go from full left to right lock using the heel of my hand sometimes when 3 point turning (even on a a non-power steering Escort).  I know it might be a personnel thing and aesthetics rather than practicality, but it can make you look George Carter from the Sweeny if you get good enough at it. 😁

I too like a wheel cover - £2.99 TK Maxx... 😁

How dare you beat me, I must have paid about a fiver for mine in 2009.  You know, the old codger's one with the plastic tie up laces and the knobles. 😜

I'm sure it is the perfect match for your driving gloves, the ones with the holes in the back and press stud on the wrist LOL
