Engine malfunction

Featured Replies

Recently ran into an issue with my 2014 focus ecoboost. The car started fine, however, as soon as I went to move, the car had little to no power 10-15mph in gear 2. The engine malfunction light then appeared so I stopped the car. Thought it may have been a spark plug or coil so replaced them all however the problem has still persisted. Any thoughts on what the problem may be?

So you need to read the DTC's which will tell you what the problem is.

Get yourself a laptop and install FORScan (it's free). Then you read the codes and fault diagnoses.

https://forscan.org/download.html

You will also need an ELM327 lead, for example like this:- https://tunnelrat-electronics.fwscart.com/USB_Modified_with_switch_ELM327/p4541936_17045457.aspx

So I plugged the computer in and received numerous codes. I'm not too familiar with the codes to be honest. Any insight into them at all would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.
