Damaged Car Paint

Featured Replies

Hi,

I was reversing out of a very tight space and scraped the paint heavily off a solid pole.

Is there any fix for this? If I leave untreated will it rust? For context this is at the front bumper, left side next to wheel

Many thanks!

The bumper itself is plastic, so no it won't rust lol.

It is repairable, but by the time the bodyshop has plastic welded, filled and sanded the area back, it's just as cheap to buy a new bumper and paint it.

Will second that. Boss at work had a Quashqai (think that is right).

He caught his bumper and put a small split / tear in it. The cost of repair was quite a bit more than it was to replace with new.
