2008 Mk6 Fiesta Sony Stereo Bluetooth not working

Featured Replies

Hi everyone, first post, I recently bought a 2008 mk6 fiesta with the rounded type Sony stereo but the phone button just mutes the stereo and the bluetooth doesn't seem to be connected or working at all, is the bluetooth module in the stereo? or is it a separately replaceable part? I have pulled the fuses to reset it but no good. Just need to know whether I need to buy a replacement stereo or bluetooth module if available.

The module is separate.

Not all models had it fitted though as Bluetooth was an optional extra. What you describe is exactly the same as a missing module.

If it's not fitted I wouldn't bother trying to fit one. For starters the wiring probably isn't there. Also the Bluetooth on these cars are well over 10 years old now and incredibly outdated. Most of them don't support playing music over Bluetooth.
