    I don't think either the gearbox or perhaps the gear selector doesn't like the cold weather. 

    Mine had a squeak that appeared from 2nd to 1st but now the weather has got a tad warmer this morning it had gone.

    Okay just feels like I'm breaking it and it's only just started so thought the gearbox was on way out
