Focus 2010 MK2.5 Invertor & additional 12v Outlet

Featured Replies

My old Focus had 2 12v outlets in the centre console, one in the centre console storage (under armrest) and one near the gear stick. My new Focus has push button start and this is in place of the 12v outlet near the gear stick.

First question is: Will the connector / cabling still be in place to add another 12v outlet?

Second question is: I know some focus models came with a 230v 150w invertor in the centre console storage. Will the wiring / connectors be there to add this as I can get hold of a cheap genuine centre console wiring harness which includes the invertor?

No. However there is nothing stopping you from connecting up to the other socket and running your own wires to a convenient point for a second socket.

Most probably No, unless you have the top spec vehicle then in which case it may well be.

Thanks for the answers Unofix, I guess the only way to find out would be to take the centre console out and see what is there.

I have just installed a 12v Outlet and a dual quick charge + PD port outlet (https://tinyurl.com/yc2sr4xv) in the boot using the spare 12v cable on the right hand side. Really happy with the finish and can't believe Ford included the cable but never used it. Not sure what the original intention of the cable was though but I suspect it was for the RS / ST models that had subwoofers in the boot?
