Featured Replies

Hi there,

On the dashboard the following error messages are poping up. I have attached 2 Diagnostic Reports and also Errors on the dashboard. The second report is after cleared all the error codes.

I would be very greatful if any experts here let me know what is the problem might me how much its going to cost to repair?

Please find the attached files.

Many thanks in advance.

It appears you have a lot of ‘U’  can bus communication error codes, 2006-2011 focuses sometimes suffer from dry solder joints in the instrument cluster affecting tha can busses . A slap on the dash just above the IC can temporarily make the circuits contact and can be an indication that may be the issue.  Resoldering the ic pcb. Is the simplest route if this is the case and many companies do this  usually about £100

worth checking

Thanks a lot RL123. I really appreciate it 🙏

Hi, As RL123 says, it's the cluster solders.

Search on Ebay for "Focus MK2 Instrument cluster repair" and send your cluster off.

Clear fault codes when you refit repaired cluster.

Hi Dave,  Sorry, I am just reading your message. Thanks a lot for responding to my advert. Please see my Local Ford Service Center Report and cost to replace it. As its expensive and its not worth spending that much money I said no to them. I am looking for a local garage who can do this for less. I will look on ebay now. Thanks a lot again.image.thumb.png.b3857f1ea336d5c60b798e0eafd9e1be.png

Good morning Dave, Really appreciate your help. May I know where did your brother-in-law send it to please? I see many on ebay not sure which company is best.

Many thanks in advance.

Just choose the best price, the Essex company is charging £95 but there's others charging £54 or £69
