at the mo i have a 6000 cd player that is playing up, will the sony 6 disc version fit, if so, silly question but does the sony unit show the time as my mk2 focus doesnt have a separate clock, i was looking at the ford 6006 unit but been advised these can be a nightmare, also, anyone selling a sony unit, thanks

I'm fairly sure the square Sony 6CD changer doesn't show the time, though admittedly that's based on the Mondeo which had an analogue clock above the unit. 

The rounded Sony unit with the square adapter from the Fiesta might fit, but they were only single CD units.

Both the Ford and Sony units had reliability issues, especially with the CD part, so you might as well go for the 6006CDC which will at least show the time while it's chewing up all your CD's...

I am now on my 3rd 6000CD unit! The initial unit the CD just went 'faulty'. The 2nd unit was fine but then I added a DAB converter and needed an AUX input, which my 6000CD didn't have, so 'upgraded' to a newer 6000 one, and a year later, all still works fine. The +ve note is that both units were very cheap, I picked them up for about £20 (inc P&P) each. Just make sure if you do pick up an Ebay one it comes with the code!

thanks for your help, my cd6000 works ok apart from it only plays through one front speaker unless i turn the volume right up then down and the other front speaker will work, i replaced the rears but they failed after a year
