2008 ford focus brake light problem.

Rear Brake lights stay on even without pressing brake pedal. I can make them go off by tapping the brake pedal a few times. Does anyone know what could be causing this. Any help is greatly appreciated. Ryan.

Either a sticking brake light switch on the pedal (or it's somehow positioned incorrectly). Alternatively your pedal could've dropped slightly.

Thanks for your reply. I'll have a look when I get home tonight. Hopefully its one of those things.

Yes I think the pedal has dropped slightly. When I pull it up a very small amount the lights go off. Cheers for that. Do you happen to know sort it or adjust it by any chance?
