Radio wont turn on

Featured Replies

Good evening. New here!

My car radio wont turn on. Randomly has stopped working a couple of times then has worked again. On the 26th December car was dead! Central locking wasn't work and couldn't start car! Break down came out at got it going saying needed new battery.

Have new battery fitted and still no life in radio. Also noticed the orange dashboard light stays on. Never really noticed if it's done this before... are they linked?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If u mean the display in the console that stays on for a while and monitors things then eventually goes off that is normal. For the radio check the plugs in the back are not loose or if not take the battery lead off for 5 mins then try again as sometimes interruptions can cause problems. Make sure you have the radio code also if needed.

The main dashboard screen in-between rev counter and speedometer. Battery has been replaced and still no life in it! Never attempted to take a radio out of a car.. I will have to YouTube it! Appreciate your response. I don't have a lot of luck with cars recently!

It's easy the trim around it can be popped off with trim removal tools or very carefully with a flathead screwdriver and you will see how the radio is screwed in from there.
