We have a Fiesta 2015 1.0 titanium Ecoboost. Having intermittent gear change issues, gears go stiff/resist for a few moment and then once in gear it usually clears. Usually happens when stuck in traffic or have been in traffic. Some days it doesn't happen at all. Had new clutch fitted as pedal had become extremely heavy and the clutch pedal and clutch feel great, better than when we bought it at 4 months old but still have the issue with the gears intermittently. Car only done 52,000 miles, manual gearbox. No whines, noise, grinding or anything else, just the intermittent issue. Any ideas please?  

The garage that fitted the clutch say they have checked all the cables etc, it had a 3 piece clutch kit and they are reluctant to fit a new gearbox at the moment as the problem is intermittent but getting more regular.

Gearbox feels fine when engine turned off, fault only happens when travelling.

Did you manage to find the problem? My daugthers car has started to have same intermittent fault.

It is just how they are when the gearbox is under load (vehicle moving with gear engaged). There isn't anything concerning about this, the 5 speed fiesta gearbox is quite influenced by temperature as are quite a few gearboxes. The best thing to do really is just push through the resistance but don't slam the gearstick. There will be some days where the gear changes are very smooth, some days the gear changes will feel like the gearstick is getting stuck along the gate or feel like you are pushing through sand, it is just a part of having a cheap-er car.
