Rear passenger door

Featured Replies

hi

I’m enjoying reading all the topics

On here

i bought a 2018 fiesta

5 door

in November a couple of questions

rear passenger door won’t open from inside

and the oil says it’s only got 36%
i have only done 110 miles

bought from ford evans halshaw wales

they told me to spray wd40 in door

lock hasn’t helped I’m in Scotland

thanks for any advice.

Rear door might have the child lock on, there’s a slot for the key on the edge of the door.

It has 36% oil life, when was the last time it was changed or the gauge reset?

Hi car service book was stamped in November

Look in the manual on how to reset the oil life gauge

For your own peace of mind, as you have only driven just over 100 miles, pull out the dipstick and check the oil level and colour. The oil should be clean, with very little colour. If it’s “Conker brown or darker” it’s not been changed in a while.

Thanks that makes sense

I will do that now

Did the slot turn easily ?

It should rotate 90 degrees from the position it's in now.

Yeah turned freely no resistance

There should have been resistance, so maybe it has become disconnected inside the door.

Try the other rear door so you can make a comparison between them.
