    I’m with bobr, perhaps it’s an age thing. But I didn’t like loud exhausts even when I was young.   I always thought that anything visually or sound that makes people look at you is not good. Drive around anonymously and without drawing any attention is what I like.

    Furthermore, as an ex copper, I can tell you that there's nothing more likely to make the police take an interest in your car than a loud exhaust.

    I can understand putting on loud exhausts on a nice car (freer flowing exhaust and all that), but not a diesel fiesta that will sound like a canal boat lol.
