  • Off road for 12 months, engine run and car moved occasionally, battery kept requiring a charge.

  • Replaced battery, car OK.

  • Drove car in for MOT, next day garage 1 reported it had gone into limp mode, MOT obtained, garage reported limp mode something to do with wires in footwell .

  • Car OK for a few days.

  • 17 mile trip to shops car went into limp mode. Recovered home.

  • Car showed fault P2176, ‘Throttle position not learned’.

  • Following morning battery flat, had to be winched onto truck to garage 2

  • 2nd garage reported, fault code cleared but new battery defective (Tayna refuse to refund)
They fitted new battery and car OK for a couple of weeks.

  • 50 mile round trip, car fine, stopped 12 miles from home and car went into limp mode, pulled into garage 1 again and they said switch off and on. Did so and got 100yds. Switched off and on again and drove home OK.

  • Car variably showing P2176, P2108 and P2119.

  • Replaced Throttle body with no improvement.

  • Removed negative battery lead and connected it to positive for a few minutes, reconnected and started engine, ran for around 10 minutes then a further 5, no change. Foot on accelerator resulted if vast increase in revs then a sudden drop off and stall. Showing P2135 code

  • Repeated above procedure with no improvement, engine showing 2 x P2135 and 1 x P2119 faults I can erase all but 1 x P2135. Car still in limp mode.
