Have you recently been pulled over by the rozzerz? (Police, for those who don't know!)

If so, what for and did you get done or let off?

A strange question.  Loads of times over the years but not it last 5 years.  Last time both brake lights not working although centre one was.  I did not know . I wouldn’t have driven it knowingly.  They gave me a Vdrs notice .  They had a look at other stuff like tyres . Of course if you argue about anything or are cocky then it can go badly.

I did the bulbs myself, but had to pay mot garage 10 quid to stamp the form to verify they were fixed. There is no standard fee for a mot garage to stamp the form.  It took a long time for them to find their official stamp as it’s no longer needed on mot certs.

My most memorable was well over 20 years ago. I had been stuck in a traffic jam for nearly 2 hours in Belfast due to a bomb scare, hence making me very late for a job interview in Lisburn (15 miles away). Once I eventually got on the motorway, I zipped up to about +90Mph, before spotting blue lights in my mirror. Was pulled over and given a right dressing down, but luckily (!) he got a radio message whilst talking to me informing him of another bomb alert nearby. He told me it was my lucky day, and sped off himself! Swings and roundabouts LOL 🤣

Just about 5 years ago I was followed into a rec ground car park in the pouring rain by an unmarked police car.  The car had flooded inside after a I hit a puddle and I was just intending to let it idle there for a while with the heating on high away from my own car park so not to upset my neighbours with the noise.

Was approached and told I 'looked very young' to be a driving an ST150...  I didn't realise they were such a prestigious car only owned by older folk.

Sadly I'm not good in social situations, and was a bit 'short' with them due to anxiety/panic (as I am with any person in a social situation!) so that could have easily ended badly, though I was just let go.  I doubt they wanted to stand out in the rain checking the car over fully lol.  Trouble is, it tainted my driving experience of the Fiesta and I couldn't enjoy it again afterwards.

Not in the last three years and that one was late at night near the city centre just before Christmas, they were checking all cars for drunk drivers.

The most memorable one was in my youth when they used to stop old cars regularly and check they were roadworthy. One of them thought he would be smart and asked me to make sure my Handbrake was on and tried to push the car via the door pillar. Needless to say the car did not budge and he hurt his back so that stop was brought to a premature end🤣

a while ago i had turned into a road at the side of a police station and a police car was coming out so to save him self from sitting waiting for traffic to clear so he could get out he put his blues on and just pulled out so i raised my hands in disbelief i carried on he turned round and pulled me over trying to say i made rude gestures at him soo i explain my frustration to him that he missed used his blues just to get out as he just sat behind cars wich he replied he was on the way to an emergency so i said why arnt you there then he says none of your business and sort of tried to deny it to wich i replied ive got it on camera he went all quite knowing he did wrong so walk off.i dont know why i said out load what i was thinking and said wker he didnt know if he should come back to me or go he went lol

It’s amazing the stupid things you say when on the spot. When I was a teenager my indicators on my motorbike stopped working . That same day a police car saw me turn right into a petrol station without indicating.  Whilst filling up with petrol he came over and asked me why I had not indicated and if they worked.  I said I have just fitted these indicators and have not tested them yet.  He accepted this and went. Pretty lucky for me .
