Quick question got a MK7 Ztec S and the coolant expansion tank is at the minimum level when cold however after a 35 minute drive it’s still at the exact same level? Shouldn’t it be fluctuating ?

Wonder if the present freezing temperatures could be a factor.

When cold the level is normally at maximum.

Have you topped up the system recently with Ford coolant ?

Many thanks for that, I filled it slightly between min and max yesterday after it cooled been on a hour drive today and it’s not dropped at. Raised ever so slightly after the journey which is expected 

Sorry, I completely forgot.   I'll do it tomorrow instead.

Checked the level this morning.   Temperature -1 and level exactly on minimum mark.   I'll report back this afternoon after I've driven 15 miles.   While I was at it I took the opportunity to put some silicon grease on the coolant tank cap threads.   It was getting a bit tight.

Checked the level after a 15 mile journey.   Temperature +4 and level exactly on maximum line.
