Mk1 Focus 1.8TDCi used parts required

Featured Replies

Hi folks. I'm struggling to find used parts for my '54' plate Mk1 Focus 1.8TDCi est... probably one of the last of the Mk1's

Ideally looking for a car I can remove them from (useful learning) reasonably close to me, I'm in South Gloucestershire.

Simple stuff: eg Aux Belt Idlers (I think the Mk1 had a Tensioner, stretch belts only came along with the Mk2?).  Also Roof Bars, Gear Knob, Cill Ends

Would quite like an engine to  play with if someone's got one to sell at a sensible price, not necessarily in running order; I need to be doing my Cam Belt this year and its a lot less scary to do a practice run first on an engine that I don't necessarily need to 'run' at any time; see what snags I hit.... pulleys that might refuse to budge, for instance.

I've plenty of skills & tools to do the removing if you've got a complete car sat doing nowt, but I'm unused to something this 'new'; even though most would regard it as 'old'....   I previously ran a 1995 Pug that I kept for over 10 years.

Or maybe someone knows which scrappies have got Mk1 Diesels in at the mo, within a reasonable drive of me?
