Timbb
Hi I'm new to this site and hoping I can get so help/ advise. My car's been fine for 2yrs, in the past week my car has gone into limp mode a at least once a day since Sunday. Today it went to limp mode and for the first time I have had the engine management light come on. I have done the system check on the trip and that says all ok. Please can some help me with what my issue may be? The car drives well and the engine seems quieter than normal but with less power. It's takes ages to get going but it will still do 60-70mph. After hrs of looking online I'm lost because of all the different options people come up with. I can't check it my self as I don't have a code checker. I just want some kind of idea before I take it to a garage. The car has done 85.5k miles with 30k in the past 2yrs. Thanks in advance for any help anyone can give. You need to read the codes through the obd2 port (preferably Forscan on a laptop with a modified Elm327 lead). The leads are under £20 and Forscan is free. We can't really offer any help you haven't read online without doing this.
TheMcSame
Hard to say without any real information. You've told us you've got a light and the car has gone into limp mode... That could be anything. We need fault codes really.
