Audio upgrade to Sony unit

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I'm new to this site. Hoping you peeps can help with my question. Apologies if this topic has been done to death.

We have a 2009 Zetec (great car, had it from brand new).

The current head unit is what came with the car - red matrix with bluetooth.

Ideally -  I would like to upgrade to an official Sony unit for the car with NAV with DAB, however if its possible to fit a Tesla style touchscreen then that would be great.

1) Is this possible?

2) What limitations are there?

3) Can this be purchased from FORD?

I will probably have this fitted by a local audio specialist what should I tell him? He will source the unit.

Cheers.

As yours is the pre facelift, you won't be able to fit the post facelift radio to it, the pre facelift Sony is essentially the same radio as the standard one with different controls, better just o spend the money on a decent aftermarket one, there are plenty of kits online for fiestas
