Sync 3 pre-facelift blank screen

Hi all,

Im hoping someone has some suggestions for me.

I've recently removed my sync 1 system from my pre-facelift focus and replaced it with sync 3.

All was well at first and it worked great, but a few days later the sync 3 system started freezing on a full screen view of the nav screen and would reboot about 5 seconds later. It did this over and over again until yesterday when it just appears to have died altogether. The system no longer boots up and doesn't seem to respond to any buttons on the front dash panel. When it first did this there was power to the usb hub as it was illuminated, but no it seems there is no power to the USB hub either. 

 

Anyone have any suggestions as to what I could try? I'll pull the system out this weekend and check all connections.
