Focus st line x 1.5 key fob battery

Featured Replies

I have a 2019 focus st line x 1.5 and the car tells me can’t see the car key even though it has let me in the car now it tells me the key fob battery is low even though it was renewed by the dealer with a Panasonic battery last month that is the third in one year !!

Hello Paul, it's not often we get royalty on this forum. I'm just assuming that because not many can afford to pay the dealer to change a keyfob battery.

Buy a Duracell CR2032 from a good shop (£2) and replace the battery in the keyfob, it takes about 3 minutes. Then standing outside the car use the buttons to lock and unlock the doors 3 times in succession which will clear the low battery warning from the car.

Hi Unofix sorry to spoil your excitement at speaking to royalty on this site but the first battery I bought was from the pound shop the second was from a supermarket make not known and the third and last one which was a Panasonic was fitted free from a dealer last month 😀

Have you tried the 'clear message' trick with your new posh Panasonic battery?

When you replace the battery make sure that the contacts are clean.
