Focus 2008 Air Con

Featured Replies

Hi

I was wondering if someone can please let me know if this is correct, I have recently bought a 2008 Focus TDCi Zetec and find that when the heating controls are on the windscreen only setting (dial straight up) the air con comes on automatically. I have to turn the air con off, it only comes on when the dial is in this position and not any other. I have looked in the manual and can not find anything that tells me this is supposed to happen.

The car is in the garage next week because of a problem with the central locking so will bring this to their attention if this is not supposed to happen.

Sorry if im asking a dumb question

Thanks

As far as I know that's normal. If you have the blowers on and then set the airflow up to the windscreen, the air con will come on. This is because the air con is good at clearing the screen.
