EOLYS DPF additive tank leaking

Featured Replies

New to this forum having recently bought a Volvo C30 2009 1.6D, (which is really a focus in drag), and I figured the problem I've got must have been seen here too.

The engine is the Ford/PSA D4164 and the EOLYS DPF additive tank is leaking slightly around the 'white' flange. At the moment it is just annoying as the tank appears to be full according to the diagnostic test I ran, but it's leaving yellow stains on my driveway which I newly laid last year. I obviously want to fix this before the tank runs dry and gives me other problems and I don't want more stains!

New tanks are £400 plus and even used ones are upwards of £300 on ebay. The fact that they're so expensive 2nd hand implies they must fail quite frequently, but I can't find much on Mr Google.

Q1, Has anyone managed to dismantle one of these tanks and rebuild it curing the leak, and if so, how difficult was it and what addhesive/sealant did you use?

Q2 I haven't tried anything on the stains yet, but has anyone found anything that will work to remove them.

Thanks in advance. All help and advice will be gratefully accepted.777535044_Eolystank01.jpeg.07f7c00ba858d35ef5bcf00c41c02954.jpeg
