Retrofitting OEM heated seats

Featured Replies

Hi all, I’ve gone down the route to retrofit heated seats, I have the seats in place with the floor wiring all matched up, I have the switches and loom, only thing I’m missing is the wires from the dash to the switch loom. Can anybody point me in the right direction? Me and father in law are pretty clued up when it comes to wiring. Just need to figure out where they head to, thanks. Please note this plug is from dash side, I know I’m missing 6 or so wires, thanks.

i did do it yeah ive got recaros from an st in mine as mines a titanium it had the plugs for switches behind the switch area so just added wires i mentioned

I’ve got an 08, fitting the recaro seats. I’ve sorted the airbag light out. Currently sorting out the heated seats bit. I’ve noticed a blank port in the fuse box for what looks like heated seats, do I wire straight from that or is there already a wire going under the carpet? And then how do you work out warm, hot and extra hot settings. I don’t obviously have the buttons in the dash. Or have you wired a switch in to turn them on/off on only one setting? Thanks

I have the same mk2.5 focus, mine already has heated seats but I am looking at some recaros which are heated but they also have electronic seat adjustment. Doe anyone know if they will work or would I need any additional wiring for the seat adjustment to work?

I have another topic open in regards to them. Apparently electronic seats where not an option in the MK2 focus but the seller who are a breakers yard and only breaks focus cars said they are and their listing does too.

The following is mentioned in their listing several times:

****DRIVER FRONT SEATS IS ELECTRIC AND THE PASSENGER IS MANUAL PLEASE DO BARE THIS IN MIND PRIOR TO PURCHASING!****

So the seats in mine which are heated are the exact same ones visually I had in my previous car and they where not heated. The only way to tell would be to see the controls for the seat adjustment I guess?

mine are defo not electric adjustable even my st had same seats and they didnt adjust electricaly

The leather Recaro’s in my 07 ST3 are definitely not electrically adjustable so I’d just ignore that bit!

I had the same situation on my Focus. The connection you are showing C33 hasn't got the wires in for the heated seat. You will need to make 2 wires and pins to go from connection C23 to C33 and one wire to go from your BCM to C33. I didnt have the loom for the switch so I bypassed connection C33 and went direct to the switch.

The connection C23 is further forward in the passenger footwell/ centre console.  Pin No. 12 on connection C23 needs to go to pin No. 25 on connection C33 (left seat feed from the switch). Pin No. 13 on connection C23 needs to go to pin No. 26 on connection C33 (right seat feed from the switch). You need to take a feed wire then from you BCM to both switches. Connection No. 8 on your BCM pin No. 17 to pin No. 24 in connection C33.

If you search on here for the wiring diagram in pdf format the heated seats diagram is on page 64. You'll also need to splice into the lighting circuit.

Just give me a shout it you get stuck.

I know this is an older thread that I started but just to let everyone know Electric seats where an option in the Mk2.5 facelift Focus.

Not sure if anyone watches Chops Garage on YouTube but he has a Mk2.5 focus Titanium. This car definitely does have electric front seats you can clearly see the controls in the video below.

12:51 is the timestamp which you will see the electric controls for the drivers seat.

Also the car has Xenons and washers which I thought was only an option on the ST / RS focus

Also has powerfold wing mirrors

I had a 2008 Titanium with electric heated leathers, powerfold mirrors, xenons/LED rear and rear privacy glass with front IR reflective screen (presumably to save the leather interior).  There wasn't an official Titanium X, but I have seen a few with this spec over the years, so either a 'pack' or early promo cars.  Amazingly...I managed to miss the switches on every interior picture I have!

Lovely interior!

It was.  Best seats I've ever had in a car.  Super rare too.  Much easier to find ST leathers.

Did we get anywhere with this? I found some full leather electric adjustable and heated seats from a titanium but my car, presumably, doesn’t have the wiring in place to get the adjustable part working at least? I had suggestions of taking a wire from the passenger side across to the driver side to power the adjuster but never found out where I was taking the power from :S

@Nelson6887 I am on the same journey trying to figure this out. I think Nathan mentioned of connector 23A missing 13-14 wires for the switches to work previously? @Nathan Buffery above you are mentioning 12-13 instead of 13-14?
