Vanadeo
Hello all I'm in really big trouble. I have managed to strip the thread from the location indicated on the pic.. it's where the bolt goes, that tightens the bracket up, that secures the hp lines. I'm hoping re-tapping the hole will work. Never use cheap eBay lines.. this is what caused this. I've had nothing but trouble with this, absolute ***** nightmare. 130 quid on proper parts + the damned suicide nut just to find this major problem out, which could cost me a replacement rack now. Man am I *****.
Vanadeo
Back again, this was me venting after nearly 2 weeks of things going wrong changing the lines and ps pump. All has been resolved but let me tell you, anything to do with the union nut at the pump and high pressure lines, is no joke. A word of caution to anyone attempting to change their ps lines on a mk2 focus, do not buy aftermarket parts, even the vm lines from euro car parts don't line up correctly and were an absolute nightmare to fit. If you need to change ps pump make sure you get a genuine union nut from vospers as it is one use only nut. The above maybe has been covered but I dunno, I celebrated on a school night after this fiasco, wowzers.
