Focus Titanium X 2019

Featured Replies

Hello. I have just bought a late 2019 Focus Titanium X estate and are very impressed with it so far. I have a couple of questions that I hope you can answer, haven’t received the handbook yet so can’t check.
It doesn’t have the heated steering wheel but I thought this was included on this trim, does anyone know why? You can see where the button should be but it’s blank

Also the automatic dial has the ‘M’ button but it doesn’t have the flappy gear changers. Are these a option and is the ‘M’ mode useless without them? It’s my 1st auto so I’m not too sure.
Thank you in advance.
Mike.

Hello Mike, I have the same car. Mine is a 2.0 Diesel Auto. Titanium X

No you don't get a heated steering wheel  it was an option, part of the comfort pack.

Mine also has the 'M' button in the middle of the gear selector but I do have the flappy gear changers. Are you sure that you don't have them, they are quite neat and are tucked in the back of the steering wheel, more of a small leaver rather than the bigger flappy paddles that you might be expecting.

Owners manuals are now online (no paper books anymore).

Hi unofix, Thanks for the reply.
it definitely doesn’t have any levers behind the steering wheel so not sure.
Thanks for the handbook link.

If you have "M" then you should have paddles, sounds like a miss-build.

With no paddles there should be a "L" on the top of the selector.

Go to a dealer and complain.

What happens when you press "M" on the selector on the instrument cluster?

Hi Dave. Thanks for the info, when I press the M button It seems to go into neutral. I’ve spoken to ford direct online and they said there’s no reported issue with the car but I can go in and see a main dealer if I’m not happy. I’ll have to have a run over and see what they say. Cheers.

PM me your reg number and I'll have a look at what should be fitted

When you press the "M" button the gear display should show the current gear ready for you to shift up and down

Cheers Dave. Nothing changes on the display when I press M

No, built without paddles but wrong selector. Could be a software issue too as shouldn't go into neutral when "M" pressed.

"M" button should be an "L" button to lock lower gears
