Hi all I'm new.. Great resource.

I've had my car 4 months and for the life of me I can't see a way to increase my nav audio. I've checked tutorials and searched the forum to no avail.

Please help 🙂

 

ps.. Is also like to know how to update my nav maps of anyone can point me in the right direction please

If you have SYNC3 then you can change the volume only when the Satnav is speaking. So plot a route and when it starts talking turn the volume up either with the steering wheel controls or the volume knob on the unit. I can get mine to repeat the last instruction by pressing the OK button on my steering wheel.

You can update to the latest Ford released update by searching for "sync 3 updates UK" and downloading/installing from ther.

Or you can update to current 3.4 version using Cyanlabs, install their installer and follow instructions

You can also touch the small icon which shows the next instruction to repeat the message and adjust volume while instruction is being repeated.  Have to be very quick and may only be able to notch up/dowm 1 or 2 levels but can touch button again for more until happy with volume.  Note it does not seem to be speed sensitive so I cnat acheiev a perfect level for all times.

Thank you very much guys, this worked as treat and is fully fixed. I used the 'when sat nav is talking to turn up the volume'. 

 

Just went around a big roundabout with lots of options for nav to chatter and nailed it! Thanks again.

I've now realized I have another issue related to reverse parking sensor bleeps being far too low in volume. I approached it from the fix for nav in this thread but it didn't work.

 

I'll open another thread so it's easier for others to find their fix (and do a little forum Search first!!)
