Focus MK2 poor radio reception fix

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,

I have posted a video where I try to fix the poor radio signal, which is knows to affect the MK2.

It did work, but I’m still craving for DAB, so that will be the next upgrade to be done and uploaded in the next few weeks:

If and i say "IF" you have a bluetooth module pre fitted it should be a breeze. I went the route of fitting an ariel splitter £35.00, then bolted in a Sony DSX-B710D aftermarket double din unit with a focus fitting kit, took about an hour, with having to make a connection to my existing ariel. You will also possibly need to change the facia dependant on shape of your replacement unit.

Unfortunately it doesn’t have the BT module and therefore, I’m changing the whole thing in the next couple of months.
