MK3 ecoboost turbo help

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,

(Edit - 2012 1.0 ecoboost 75k miles if this helps)

I've had my car around 8 months now and first noticed a loss of power after 2 months

Had ford mobile mech connect his computer and got an error code of overboost - suggested possibly actuator (mech works on vans only so unsure car aspects properly)

Found out 6th gear motorway driving my turbo essentially goes to sleep and you can feel the power difference and when the turbo goes to said sleep

Recently when accelerating per first 1 to 3 gears up to 4k rpm you can feel the turbo lose pressure and will work again after sometime driving or sometime engine off.

Apologies for long winded post, unsure what direction to go as this is my first car

Thanks in advance
