MK2 FL mirror puddle lights wont work on PFL

So I am fitting FL power folding mirrors to my PFL Mk2 Ghia. I am doing it in stages just in case I run into problems its easier to go back a stage.

At the moment, the mirrors are fitted and the basics are working; glass adjustment and heating. Forget the folding part of it for now (that's to come)

I have plugged the repeater indicator pin into the door module on connector 7 and enabled repeaters using FORSCAN and they work perfectly. so far so good.

I have plugged the puddle light pin into the module on connector 14 and again used FORSCAN to enable approach lights, but they don't work. I know the lights work because I can put power and a ground down the pins and it lights. I'm lost as to why the door module wont light it up??

 

Any help on this please?

    Do the door modules you have support puddle lights ?

    If not (part of) the circuitry inside the door modules that controls the puddle lights is missing and door modules that support puddle lights are required to make it work.

    I assume so as they have pin 14. Lots of pins missing which are I assume are for other options and models. As mine have the pin I would assume they woukd work. You know what they say about assuming though….

    Sorted it. Got a switchable elm connector which actually works and enabled the approach lights in the GEM. Sorted
