Cruise control disengaging itself

Hi All,

I have a 2019 1 litre Vignale manual. Recently, on occasion, my speed sensing adaptive cruise disengages itself and will not re engage unless I stop and turn the engine off and on. Just turning cruise off and on doesn’t help.  I’ve tried it on the adaptive and normal settings and in each case it will not set when it’s playing up.  
 

It does seem to happen on one particular hilly stretch of dual carriageway regularly.  Any suggestions?

luckily I have the extended warranty so will put it in to the stealership if necessary.  Thanks in advance

    Was your car built in 2018 and fitted with the forward facing radar just under the front bumper ?

    This sounds like the radar is not seeing the road ahead clearly and is shutting down. It could be caused by dirt, but more likely it has a fault.
