Faulty headlights mk6. 5 fiesta zetec

Featured Replies

So I've brought a fiesta mk6.5 and have faulty dipped beam, all other lights work ie full beam, drl and fogs. I've changed the bulbs and checked fuses to no joy. Last night I swapped the relays from full beam and dipped, which gave me fully working lights for about 3 or 4 turns off and on. Then the right dipped syoped working so I changed the relays back over and still only have one dipped beam. Does this mean I have afulty switch or could it be the GEM please help I'm confused. Thanks in advance. Mike

It wont be the switch or GEM. Check fuse 10 is good (dipped beam right hand headlamp) and check the headlamp hasn't blown.
While your doing the headlamp, check the connector condition.

I assume both dipped beams were failing before you swapped the relays over?

Yeah both headlights had failed before I changed the bulbs and checked fuses, only thing that made a difference was changing relays over. but only fixed it for like 3 or 4 turns, I've ordered some decent bosh relays as the ones in there are cheap Chinese ones

I'll check fuse and bulb again when I'm home from work, cheers bud 👍
