Recaro Seat Upgrade

Featured Replies

So I have come across a set of leather recaro seats for sale. They are heated and my current seats are heated so I assume this would be just plug and play?

Next question is this, the drivers side is full electric adjustment, does anyone know if this will work or would I need to add something to get this to work?

What recaros are they? If they're not Ford ones then you'll have to splice the wiring loom and fit a different heated seat connector.

There was no mk2 that had electric adjusting seats from the factory, so all of this wiring you would have to add yourself.

They are OEM ford MK2 recaro seats that are electric adjustment... Are you 100% sure no ford focus mk2's never came with electric seat adjustment or have you never seen any? I genuinely don't know that is why I am asking.

Ah those are just the leather seats fitted to the ST-3. Those definitely didn't have electric adjustment.

The people listing them only break Focus cars and state the following in their listing: “IDEAL FOR SOMEONE WHO WANTS TO UPGRADE THERE INTERIOR - FULL LEATHER RECARO - PLEASE NOTE DRIVER SEAT IS ELECTRIC - BOTH FRONTS ARE HEATED”

I’m trying to remember if my pre-facelift ST3 had electric height adjustment.....

Wiring schematic for the facelift shows multi-adjustable seat and also a version just with height adjust. Fed by pins 15 (Orange/Yellow) and 16 (Black) in the seat connector. It’s a larger 2 pin fitting in the connector opposite the fixing bolt.

Can’t promise this is exactly the same for pre-facelift but can’t lay my paws on wiring diagram for one of those right now

Mine is a Facelift.

So electric adjustable seats was an option on the Mk2.5?

It looks that way going off the wiring diagram, term used is JCI seat High Version on the wiring schematic (JCI being a seat manufacturer)

Fed from fuse F4 in main fuse box then F101 20A in passenger junction box.

Should be an easy check to see if you’ve got the wiring to the seat connector, if so and there’s voltage to it you’re in business. Should be live even with ignition off.
