One-Touch Windows stops working everytime I open the door

Featured Replies

Sometimes the driver side windows doesn't go up with one-touch and I have to reset it. Everything works fine until I open the door and close it again. From that moment on it stops working again, it still goes down with one-touche, but it doesn't go up again. Any idea why this happens?

I don't have wind deflectors or anything else like that

Are you doing it after turning ignition off?

Does Fiesta MK7 even have one touch up?

Try:

Ignition on

One window at a time

Run window all the way down, let go of button

Re-press and hold down button for a further 6 seconds

Yes, because the passenger side has it and works fine.

I tried following your steps, but the driver side still loses its configuration as soon as I open the door. What could it be?

Are you opening the door whilst the ignition is off?

Yes, I mean after following the steps you mentioned. Here is what I did:

  • doors closed
  • ignition on
  • I followed the procedure to reset the one-touch
  • ignition off, window works fine
  • I open the door on the driver's side
  • window doesn't go up using one-touch anymore (I have to hold the button to close it). However, strangely it still goes down with one-touch, this never stopped working instead.

How can a problem affect only one direction?

Check connector and cables  at hinge point of door.
