Removing the dashboard glove box

Featured Replies

Any ideas on how to get this out? There are two screws but the thing is still stuck in. I can feel a couple of clips at the front but they don't appear to have any movement.

2 x torq screws underneath, about 4 inches towards the bulkhead on each side

Open it,

Empty it,

Release clips on the sides to lower it fully,

Then pull out of the hinges.

Replacement is direct reversal of above procedure.  Should not be any screws on a 2010 model.

I'm meaning the central dashboard glovebox (perhaps that's not the right name for it). There are two screws and what feels like a couple of clips but the clips don't appear to move.

do you mean the part that go's around the hand brake? if you do and its put together anything like my 2007 fiesta then when them 2 torx are out its got a load of clips and can take quite some pulling to get them to pop out.

Ahhhh.

Sorry, I jumped to an incorrect conclusion.

Haynes only states "Remove the two screws and remove..." and catcar only shows two screws.....

Have a look at the images on ebay "ford Fusion Glove box"

not what i had in mind but looking at the images i would say its them 2 torx then there are prob some kind of clips also holding it that need to be "helped" loose.

Thanks. I've got the screws off. It looks like the clips need encouraged to bend back to release. I'll try the trusty club/nectar card wedged in and see if that helps.
