Limp mode strikes again

Featured Replies

Hey guys, I've got a 2007 focus 1.6 tdci style, it's had the removed and mapped out but recently the car has gone in to limp mode which upon first start up will take about 30 seconds before it triggers limp mode. I haven't plugged anything into it yet as I was wondering of anyone might know common issues or faults with them that I could check out first it's bugging me like mad now as when the car is running okay it runs well but when limp mode happens I might aswell get out and walk the rest of the way revs max out at 3k plus or minus a tiny bit and it doesn't really want to go any faster than 70mph any info or help would be greatly appreciated as I do like the car and don't particularly want to get rid of it

Thanks

It could be literally anything without knowing the fault code.

Are you getting an acceleration reduced message? Warning lights coming on and going off by themselves? Dials dropping to zero?

Without fault codes it's very hard to offer any help as Luke above says, it could be anything
