2010 Ford Fusion 1.4 tdci interior fan heating cooling

Featured Replies

When ever I run my fans inside the car it sounds like it’s chirping constantly has anyone got any ideas as to what this might be before I start stripping bits off the car to figure out what the the issue is

chirping ?

does the noise increase as you increase the heater motor speed ? if so it sounds like it's associated with the motor itself, or the rotory fan attached to it ?

It doesn’t do it on fan speed one but if you set it to higher speeds it dose get louder Thankyou for your input I will take the fan out and see if it’s damaged and update you next week sometime

i would say dry shaft /bearing on motor.

sorry it's difficult to diagnose over the net, ideally someone would say "i had this noise - and it was this"

interested to hear your findings

Brett,

Have you taken out the pollen filter and had a look for anything in there that might make the noise ?

It was the fan motor bearing I have replaced the fan and it’s all fixed now
