Has any one experienced the Same faults

Featured Replies

Hi there

Any advice please

Bought a 20plate focus special edition tdci  last april its been back to the garage 5 times now various faults inc hill start assist 2 no lane keeping aid x2  no anti collision assist etc etc

Been in for its first service today 19k on the clock now and they explained it needed an electronic upgrade or something along those lines i explained about the problems and mentioned also that the engine didnt stop start like its suppose to they said it may be the battery !!

any way £215 for the service said all was fixed but they couldnt do the electronic upgrade so need to wait 2 weeks driving home the lane keeping aid dosent work still

is it a simple fix or what do you advise

as to be honest need to get it fixed and then sell the car as its just one thing after another

also is there a better grille that can be bought for the focus as the cheap plastic one that the car comes with is very flimsy and need replacing as i hit a pheasant also

Any advice welcome

nige

If you put your Vin number into Etis it should tell you what update is required.

As yours is a diesel it may be the PTM  ( Power Train Module) update, if so, say goodbye to the oil life reset function.
