ABS module configuration code now fixed

Featured Replies

Good afternoon peeps,,

a while I had issue with traction light been due to it going into limp mode (09 1.8 TDCi)

I was told I’d need to take it Ford or get someone with Ford IDS software to reset the module. Well I have forscan and on their forum they have a section with a link to the Ford as-built information,, I download the as-built for my car using vin number,, saved to me laptop and also took screenshots of all the info on my phone.
once everything was plugged in I looked through all the as-built codes already stored in my modules and checked them against the downloaded as-built info,,, everything was ok until I did the ABS module all the other codes were correct apart from the last one that was different, so I used the write option and changed the code to match what the downloaded one was.
as soon as I’d written it the light instantly went out,, cleared the code and now I have no DTC’s logged happy days

below is the downloaded info and the pic is my module on the forscan info  as you can see last code is different so changed it to match the new info and all good

Hi there

Do you have that link to where you found the original info

thanks

You don't need a link.

Just load up FORScan on your laptop. Make sure it is connected to both your car with a vLinker FS cable and that your laptop is within range of a decent WiFi signal. Select what you need the AsBuilt file for and click on the AB tab at the bottom of the screen.

Don't forget to put the car battery on charge during the process. It doesn't take long for it to want to shut down without.

I meant the link the original posted referring to the forscan link with how to do all this

Not sure if my forscan can do programming de to licence?

how do I go about this
