Good morning, I have a ford focus MK1 TDDI, and I noticed a problem with the heating. When I turn the fan to speed 1, it normally gives warm air to the interior of the car, but when I turn the fan to speed 2, 3 or 4 it starts to give cold air. What could it be?

    Different fan speeds can’t alter the heat setting as such.  But the amount of heat the heater can give out is not unlimited.  Higher fan speed means you are trying to extract more heat faster from heater matrix and it can simply run out of heat. Why it runs out of heat might point to another problem eg heater matrix silted up.

    That's what I was thinking. Restriction in the flow to the heater matrix.
